So I am in love with Elena’s s4 arc. She went from being ready to die to wanting to live. She went from choosing what she was expected to do to unapologetically going after what she wants. She went from pretending to be okay to recognizing that she wasn’t. She went from faking a smile to genuinely doing so because she’s happy and she’ll take all the happiness she can.

Elena Gilbert has come full circle and has begun to grow up.

Julie Plec: There’s something that we rarely get to do on TVD, is see a couple enjoy being a couple and we’re definitely  going to have our fun with Elena and Damon[being a couple], who have taken so much time to find their way to each other really and truly.

I am drowning in feels because Plec appreciated Damon and Elena’s build up and used the words “really” and “truly” about them finding their way to each other.

This isn’t anything new but just let me be okay…
